Then they begin a six-game homestand, which includes an October 28 visit by defending champion Pittsburgh.

Tuch likely was considered expendable by the Wild because of the progress made by prospects Joel Eriksson Ek and Luke Kunin, both of whom could be National Hockey League regulars next season. The Wild's home opener is October 14 against Columbus.

The Minnesota Wild have traded prospect Alex Tuch to Vegas, as compensation for the Golden Knights agreeing to pick center Erik Haula instead of another player in the expansion draft.

It is not known what the pick will be for what year or what round. A former University of Minnesota star and Finland native, Haula played in 266 games for the Wild since they drafted him in the seventh round of the 2009 NHL Draft and recorded a career-high 15 goals last season. In four seasons with the Wild, he scored 42 goals and had 89 points.

The Company's subsidiaries include San Jose Water Company, SJWTX, Inc., SJW Land Company and Texas Water Alliance Limited. The shares were purchased at an average price of GBX 218 ($2.78) per share, for a total transaction of £449.08 ($572.15).

The agreement between the Wild and Golden Knights means the Wild would not attempt to retain Haula through the restrictions on his free agency, and also added Tuch in as additional incentive. It also keeps defenseman Matt Dumba in the Twin Cities along with fellow defenseman Marco Scandella and forward Eric Staal.

By electing to deal for Haula, he becomes Minnesota's selection in the expansion draft.

Tuch, 21, is oozing with potential after being selected by the Wild in first round of the 2014 NHL Draft. Garrison is signed through the coming season at $4.6 million. In 68 games last season, he had no goals and just 11 assists but helped Ottawa reach the Eastern Conference finals. Check back for updates.
