Barcelona target Verratti tells PSG: I will stay if you buy champions

Marco Verratti has told Paris Saint-Germain that he could be willing to stay at the club and resist a move to Barcelona, but only if they sign "champions" in the transfer market.

Barcelona is apparently his preferred destination with the Italy global being viewed as a long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta.

While an agreement with PSG and Barcelona has not been reached, Neymar has made it clear he hopes a deal goes through. He's a top player, a player with incredible technical quality. "He has the right profile and characteristics to play with us at Barca".

If this is the case, I'd be happy to stay.

Tourist resort in Malian capital 'under attack'
Daniel Okwogo, a Kenyan guest who witnessed the attack , said that about 30 minutes after his arrival he heard the gunshots. Andrea de Georgio, a freelance journalist in Bamako, also quoted officials as saying that at least two people were killed.

With Verratti due to return for pre-season training in the French capital on July 4th, the possibility that the midfield maestro will simply refuse to turn up until his Barcelona-shaped wish is granted is looking more and more likely by the day.

The Italian global is known to be unsettled in Paris, with a report earlier this week even claiming Verratti and agent Donato Di Campli have made enquiries to their lawyers of the consequences of the Italian not reporting for pre-season with PSG on July 4.

PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi and new director of sport Antero Henrique reportedly have a €220 million transfer budget which includes Monaco star Kylian Mbappe, Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Real Madrid defender Pepe.
