Boris Becker - who reportedly made more than $25 MILLION during his tennis career - was declared bankrupt in a British court hearing early Wednesday morning.

Lawyers for the three-time Wimbledon victor and six-time Grand Slam champion pleaded today for "a last chance" to pay a long-standing debt to bankers.

She said the Wimbledon victor, who took the men's singles title three times in the 1980s, gave the impression of "a man with his head in the sand".

When the registrar was told about Mr Becker's television work, she said she knew who he was, adding: "I remember watching him play on Centre Court, which probably shows my age".

Becker had coached current World No. 4 Novak Djokovic to six Grand Slam titles from 2013 to 2016.

Surprised and disappointed that Arbuthnot Latham choose to bring these proceedings against me!

Pacers' Paul George to Cavaliers or Celtics?
As of this moment, the stars connected to Los Angeles are Paul George ( Indiana Pacers ) and LeBron James ( Cleveland Cavaliers ). There is a possibility that George makes an All-NBA team next year and position himself for a five-year super max contract.

"This order relates to 1 disputed loan which I was due to repay in full in 1 month time!"

However, not agreeing to Becker's lawyers, Arbuthnot Latham & Co. said that the case has already been put off post initial hearing dated April 28.

He said that he intends to challenge the ruling "immediately".

The 49-year-old owed a firm of private bankers a large sum and the court registrar said there was not enough credible evidence that he could pay, BBC reported on Wednesday.

Though Becker is now employed as a commentator, yet his judge said that there is no sufficient evidence of his personal properties that will help him repay the huge debt he is involved him.
