Family of Otto Warmbier declines autopsy

No cause of death has been determined for Warmbier, 22, who was detained for almost a year-and-a-half in North Korea before being sent home in a coma last week.

While suffering from severe brain damage, Warmbier, died at a Cincinnati Medical Center on Monday.

Hamilton County 's Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco's office released a statement saying Otto Warmbier's family objected to an autopsy so only an external exam of his body was done.

Warmbier was arrested at the airport in Pyongyang, North Korea, for allegedly trying to steal a propaganda poster from a restricted area in January 2016 while visiting the country on a sightseeing tour organized by a Chinese-based company.

Trump spoke briefly about Warmbier during an Oval Office meeting with the president of Ukraine. "I think the results speak for themselves". US officials are aware that the site can be used for an underground test, but cannot yet tell if a sixth nuclear test is imminent.

American concern is growing over North Korea's acceleration toward having a nuclear missile that can strike the USA mainland.

That tweet came only two hours after another Trump tweet in which the president condemned the "brutality of the North Korean regime" following the death of Otto Warmbier.

China is North Korea's sole trading partner. But some have been seized and given draconian sentences for seemingly minor offenses. Those who typically do travel from China, where tour groups market trips to adventure-seekers. But she said the US wants more action against blacklisted North Korean companies doing business through China.

The Chinese have moved a bit toward restraining North Korea, but not enough for administration officials' taste - and there is reason to be skeptical as to how much more they will move.

Under existing law, all it would take is a designation by Tillerson - called a "geographic travel restriction" - to make all American passports invalid for travel to North Korea.

The U.S. doesn't now prohibit its passports from being used to travel to any countries, even though financial restrictions limit U.S.travel to Cuba and elsewhere. The U.S. government accuses North Korea of using such detainees as political pawns.

Short of a total ban, Sen. Now I hope the American government will help, etc., etc. They're daunting. They require care and calculation.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said a meeting between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is less likely following Warmbier's death.
