A man changing a tire was struck by the bus and suffered injuries before being taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. New York's PIX 11 news reports the bus hit at least six cars and caused thousands of dollars in damage.
No passengers were on the bus at the time.

One person was hurt when an empty MTA bus rolled backward in Brooklyn overnight, setting off a chain reaction that damaged several parked vehicles before coming to a stop against the outside of a church.
Timmes said he saw the man had a bloody nose and his friends were calling an ambulance before he heard a second crash.
Paul Quiroz, 46, was watching TV in his home on Knickerbocker Avenue when the bus started to roll away. The MTA employee was not injured.
An MTA spokesperson tells News 12 they are investigating the incident.
