The Cleveland Cavaliers announced on Monday that David Griffin will no longer be the team's general manager.
In a statement, Cleveland Cavaliers Chairman Dan Gilbert said that the team and Griffin mutually chose to part ways. "We are confident our current front office will continue to aggresively explore and pursue opportunities to improve our team in the weeks ahead".
Fresh off their NBA Finals loss to the Warriors in five games, the Cavaliers already had begun searching for answers to Golden State's depth of starpower - with Griffin leading the charge.
