U.S. President Donald Trump faced criticism and claims that he undercut his own stalled travel order pending before the Supreme Court by saying it is "watered down" and "politically correct" and should have been "tougher".
In a series of posts on Twitter, Trump said his Department of Justice should have continued to seek approval for his original executive order on immigration instead of the "politically correct version" submitted to the Supreme Court.

Another person who is suggesting Trump's tweets will hurt his case is George Conway, husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway.

Trump then wrote that the administration was already "EXTREME VETTING" travelers coming into the country. "The courts are slow and political!".

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment about George Conway's tweets. "The pt can not be stressed enough that tweets on legal matters seriously undermine Admin agenda and POTUS―and those who support him, as I do, need to reinforce that pt and not be shy about it".
On January 27, 2017, one week to the day after his presidential inauguration, Trump signed an Executive Order temporarily suspending the refugee program and visa entry for anyone from seven majority-Muslim countries. Trump tweeted on Monday morning. "He cares that you call it national security and that we take steps to protect the people of this country".
