Hodgkinson, a Belleville, Ill., resident who officials said had been living out of his auto in Alexandria, Va., opened fire as Congress members and staffers practiced for a charity baseball game slated for Thursday. Contacted by AL.com on Friday, Brooks said he has been told to refer all questions to the Capitol Police for comment.
Asked about her husband's decision to leave for an extended period of time, Hodgkinson said that her daughter and two-year-old granddaughter had recently moved home.
