The investigation began "days after Comey was sacked on May 9", according to Jeff Bezos's newspaper machine, and it also includes a search for "any evidence of possible financial crimes among Trump associates".

President Trump speaks Thursday at the White House about the shooting of House Majority Whip Steve Scales of La.at a baseball practice.

"Mr. Kushner previously volunteered to share with Congress what he knows about Russia-related matters".

Published reports have indicated that Mueller is looking into whether Trump tried to obstruct justice.

In a message that journalists and political observers say looks like a shocking attack by a sitting president on his own Justice Department, President Donald Trump appeared to take aim at Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in a Friday morning tweet.

A series of angry tweets has been fired off from the presidential account after a report said the investigation into Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 election campaign is expanding.

Last month, Rosenstein wrote a memo to the president raising concerns over Comey's performance.

The American president's ties with Russian Federation first sprung up when back in May, he fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey citing "this Russian Federation thing" his main reason for doing so.

One of the lessons from the election has been that the Conservative party is not well-liked, especially its current leader. Being the first party in the House, she doubtless has the constitutional right to try to form a government.

The U.S. television network ABC, citing unnamed sources, reported that Rosenstein had informed Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand that he may have to recuse himself from the Russian Federation investigations as well, because of his memo to Trump about Comey.

Amid stirrings earlier this week that Trump was possibly considering the idea of firing Mueller, it was Rosenstein who testified before a congressional hearing that such an act could not be taken without specific cause. Moscow has denied any interference.

Comey was sacked by the president on May 9 while he was overseeing the investigation into potential Russian interference into last year's election and potential collusion with the Trump presidential campaign. "Sad!" he wrote in one post.

The transition order came the same day that Vice President Mike Pence's confirmed that he had hired a private lawyer to represent his interests in the expanding probe.

Mr Pence's office confirmed he had retained Richard Cullen, a former Virginia attorney general and United States attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to assist "in responding to inquiries" from Mr Mueller.

The Washington Post reported Thursday that Jared Kushner's business dealings were also being scrutinized by Mueller's team.

Flynn, dismissed by Trump in February after it emerged he had misled Pence about conversations with the Russian ambassador, is a subject in investigations by intelligence committees in the House of Representatives and Senate, as well as the FBI.
