Spencer said that Microsoft would be making money through selling games.
"From a developer's standpoint, Xbox One X is the most developer-friendly console we have ever worked with".

Spencer pointed out that games have always made money for console manufacturers rather than the hardware itself.
By comparison, the PlayStation 4 Pro can be purchased for £100 less than this in the United Kingdom, with the console available at £349 on Amazon.co.uk. and the most basic version of the Nintendo Switch is more affordable still, with Amazon stocking this at £279 in the UK.
This all comes at a cost though, with the Xbox One X priced at 449.99 in the UK, and $500 in the United States.
While the power of the Xbox One X could lead to exclusive titles that only the console can support in the future, there is now no game that will attract customers away from the console's rivals.
This shouldn't come as a surprise because Achievements support were added in the Xbox 360 era, it was not present in original Xbox games.
According to Mike Ybarra, Xbox's Corporate Vice President, that value proposition of Xbox One X is great given all its features.
Paul Bettner of Super Lucky's Tale developer Playful has commented further on the Xbox One X devkit that's been released to provide a better platform for developers.
