The Weekend Chat: Whose E3 Conference Impressed You the Most?

When it comes to pricing, PC's are more expensive than that of consoles.

Additionally, many new VR games were revealed, such as Skyrim and Star Child, allowing PSVR users to play even more high-quality and immersive titles. So you log in with Xbox Live ...

Game play on 4K screens, whether on televisions or personal computer monitors, is expected to be among themes at E3 this week.

This year's "Call of Duty" returns to World War II. This it turns out was a choice made by Sony as opposed to technical or competitor issues. This was also the case with PlayStation E3 2017 press conference, but Shuhei Yoshida admitted that they purposely held back PS4 exclusives announcements from E3 2017 for the later part of the year (PlayStation Experience 2017). "If we were to suddenly say, 'Oh yeah, you can play cross-platform".

"It won't be as big as Xbox 360, I'll tell people that", said Spencer.

Stuff like that can be fixed, and would make a huge difference for literally millions of game players. Microsoft used the term "Console Launch Exclusive" for this during their show on Monday, so file that one away.

Later, when Psyonix announced that they'd be bringing their critically acclaimed Rocket League to the Nintendo Switch, it too confirmed that the game will support multiplayer action across Linux, Mac, Windows, Switch, and Xbox One.

PlayStation 4 doesn't support cross-play with other platforms for some popular games that fans are waiting for. That's the target for the platform: "let the developers do the work that they're going to do".

Russia's military claims it may have killed IS leader Baghdadi
The airstrike was carried out following drone footage confirmation of the council's meeting location, state-run Sputnik reports. The Iraqi-born world's most-wanted man has been rumored wounded or killed a number of times in the past.

The Xbox One S vertical stand is priced at $20.

In short, Spencer feels as though the deals in place for Minecraft cross-platform play are perfectly stable. People who choose PlayStation, for example, should not be locked out of playing cross-platform games with their friends.

When asked about this at E3, Microsoft said it was Sony's fault. He quickly added, "I don't mean that to be snippy".

"That is important and we are going to invest".

Well, if your eyes weren't rolling at first, I assume that last bit got them spinning like a slot machine. His answer also focuses on parental controls and safety. Unfortunately it seems we'll have to wait till next year for these titles to be released, but they definitely look worth the wait.

Also of note in his response: "PlayStation curated universe". If first party content for Xbox is indeed strong, it is time to show us your hand- if only a little. And Sony would rather people keep using its service, PlayStation Network, instead of Xbox Live.

It appears that there was another reason why Sony have decided not to join in the Minecraft cross-play fun.

I couldn't count the number of threads I've seen over the years of players complaining about no one being online on their respective platform of choice. It's the kind of thing that makes less and less sense as more games become platforms unto themselves, playable on multiple devices.
