Mayweather Promotions will publicize the event, which will be available on Showtime pay-per-view.

One of the main questions around Conor McGregor's mega boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather is whether, after collecting what will for sure be a hefty paycheck, the UFC champ will ever return to the octagon.

"Of course, why not?"

Floyd Mayweather fighting Conor McGregor on August 26 is the talk of not only the town, but the entire sports world. "A guy with that kind of power, he can nick you and you can be buzzed..."

"Anything can happen so that's why I like to watch from the outside, it's unknown, you don't know what's going to happen", the American said. "It's going to be a tremendous event".

The fight confirmed on Wednesday is expected to gross millions of dollars, with Mayweather a solid favorite. I believe that this fight shouldn't even count on Floyd's record.

Speaking to SportsCenter, Dana White had positive news for fans of MMA. "We've actually tapped into the audience that really doesn't follow either sport". He has boxing training, but has never faced anyone with the speed of Mayweather.

He declared martial law across Mindanao the day the fighting erupted. "It already happened. Facing TV cameras, he pleaded to be allowed to enter the conflict zone to save his wife.

Now that McGregor vs. Mayweather is happening, it is being reported that some very odd conditions have been added to McGregor's contract.

While many would have likely expected the negotiations between Mayweather and McGregor to be hard, both UFC boss Dana White and Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe stated that the negotiations went extremely smoothly.

When asked about the figures both fighters will earn from the super-fight, White was unwilling to share any secrets.

Both men had previously said they wanted $100m (£78m) each for the fight and negotiations have gone back and forth for about a year.

Creamfields has announced that they will be screening the historic fight at the festival this year as the fight falls on one of their dates.

"The lovely thing about the disaster that was that fight, was that I think everybody learned from it, and it won't happen again".
