Games between Liverpool and Manchester United are rarely insignificant affairs and this season the fixture could prove to be massive in terms of the top four.

Jack Hallows analyses Liverpool's Premier League fixture list for the 2017/18 season and pinpoints 5 key dates to watch out for.

However, the stadium will be unavailable that weekend as it can not be returned to "football mode" in time after hosting the world athletics championships.

For the trio of newly-promoted clubs, their opening fixtures see second tier champions Newcastle host Spurs, whilst Premier League debutants Brighton entertain Manchester City and Huddersfield are away at Crystal Palace.

No conclusion has yet been reached on what will happen, even though it is understood the Premier League were aware of the issue before the fixtures were officially published.

- United are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League home games with West Ham (W7 D2 L0) - their last league defeat against the Hammers at Old Trafford was in 2007.

Steve Scalise shooting: Donald Trump visits wounded Republican congressman in hospital
He left a trail of blood as he dragged himself to the outfield, seeking distance from the gunman who said nothing as he fired. According to his social-media profile and other reports , he expressed broad dissent against Trump and Republican policies.

Tottenham also have a similar problem with their home game against Burnley, which is due to take place on a weekend that their temporary home at Wembley is being used for rugby.

The club, at least, is at home on Boxing Day, though the opposition will be Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. The fixture is likely to yet again feature two of the most expensively-assembled squads in Premier League history, with Manchester City already having spent over £90 million this summer and set to spend more, while United are supposedly ready to spend £200 million to improve their squad. "It's a compromise across all clubs; you can't do anything to favour any one club", said Thompson.

Last season we got an opening day thriller as the Reds beat Arsenal 4-3 at the Emirates, courtesy of a manic 15 minute period either side of half-time that saw the Reds overturn an initial 1-0 deficit in style. The fixture will come right before a European week, but there's absolutely no chance either side will rest players for the marquee clash.

All the timings are subject to slight change because of TV scheduling.

It is true, the Premier League is tough and we start in Newcastle, and then our first game at Wembley is against Chelsea.

The first batch of televised matches will be confirmed on July 10.
