Al Thani's comments come as Qatar tries to play down the impact of a crisis now entering its second week.

"If the parties so wish, the Kingdom of Morocco is ready to offer its services to foster a frank and comprehensive dialogue on the basis of non-interference in internal affairs and the fight against religious extremism", a statement from the country's foreign ministry read.

"Dozens of Iranian businesses are ready to help Qatar with more goods if they are needed", the diplomat said.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino does not believe that the crisis will threaten the 2022 World Cup which Qatar will host.

Saudi Arabia's arch-rival Iran on Sunday announced it had sent five planes carrying produce to Qatar.

Senior officials from the countries opposed to Qatar have warned it that appealing for foreign assistance will not advance a reconciliation.

The world's largest container shipping line, Maersk Line, subsequently said it could not supply Qatar because the so-called "feeder" vessels it uses would no longer be able to transport cargo between the UAE and Doha. The airline said it "continues to operate to the rest of its network as per its published schedules with day-to-day adjustments for operational and commercial efficiencies".
