There was no official word on the matters discussed by the officials of the two sides, but talks were likely to centre on deteriorating situation after Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates cut ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Adviser to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz are also part of the delegation.

"Pakistan would try to solve the crisis diplomatically", said PM Nawaz adding that Pakistan valued its ties with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iran.

President Trump has endorsed the decision of Gulf nations to ostracize Qatar, even as U.S. Cabinet officials have said it is hurting the campaign against ISIS.

He said his country was ready for dialogue to resolve the crisis.

They were later joined by Libya, Yemen, the Maldives, Mauritius and Mauritania, with Jordan and Djibouti announcing they would lower the level of diplomatic contacts with Qatar.

"If we're going to lose a dollar, they will lose a dollar also".

On June 8, Arab states led by Saudi Arabia issued a list of Qatar-linked people and organizations it said were "terrorists" as they ratcheted up their boycott of the peninsular state.

Speaking during a tour of European capitals to gauge support among Doha's traditional allies, Sheikh Mohammed said there was "no proof" to accusations made against Qatar.

In London, British foreign minister Boris Johnson called for calm and said he would meet this week with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE.

Turkey and Iran have promised Qatar food supplies and troops.

The three countries along with Bahrain cut ties to Qatar last week and have moved to block air, land and sea routes to the energy-rich Gulf nation.

Saudi Arabia is not a signatory.

Qatar's port authority published video showing a container ship loaded down with cargo arriving at Doha's Hamad Port from Oman's port of Sohar to a water-cannon welcome.

Additionally, Qatar Airways is now using longer routes to its European and North American destinations, including direct flights to the world's busiest worldwide airport in Atlanta, after Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt barred Qatari flights from their airspace.
