The new iMac Pro is considered to be even more powerful than the current Mac Pro.

Apple calls this new computer the iMac Pro, and from the dark space grey exterior to the "Pro" moniker, it's clear this isn't your regular iMac.

During Apple's WWDC keynote, the company updated both its iMac and MacBook lineup with 7th generation Kaby Lake processors, better GPUs, better displays, and so on - good, solid speed bumps all around.

Prices will start at £1,050 for the base 21.5-inch model, at £1,250 for the 4K 21.5-inch model, and at £1,750 for the iMac Retina 5K 27-inch model.

As well as film and design work, the new iMac is pitched as a strong machine for VR - now in the picture with the new macOS: High Sierra. In terms of storage, the SSD storage options are now up to 50 percent faster than the previous versions, and users can be further customized with up to 2TB of storage, Ternus said. The 13-inch non-Touch Bar MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt 3 ports starts at $1,299, while the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar begins at $1,799 CAD. According to MacRumors Buyer's Guide, it had been 221 days since updating the MacBook Pro, 412 days since updating the MacBook, and a staggering 601 days since updating the iMac.

Is Apple bringing drag-and-drop to the iPhone? It's possible
According to another report published by 9to5Mac, Apple MacBook Pro 2017 laptop comes equipped with a revamped Touch Bar as well. There is also a new Files app so you have easy access to all of your files , even if they're in a cloud service such as Dropbox.

If you don't, Apple also refreshed the prices and specs of the regular 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac models. With new graphics capabilities, it can also support up to 18 core processors. The new iMac Pro includes a new dual centrifugal fan setting that allows the device to have more airflow compared to other Mac products. On paper at least it all certainly looks like a compelling option for users who love the form factor of a iMac and don't want to use a Mac Pro. Featuring a stunning new space gray enclosure, iMac Pro packs incredible performance for advanced graphics editing, virtual reality content creation and real-time 3D rendering. iMac Pro is scheduled to ship in December. Finally, there is also a 10Gb Ethernet port for fast networking. It's under the sneak peek label, just like the Apple HomePod smart speaker we couldn't touch either.

The iMac Retina 5K 27-inch will have a Radeon Pro 570, 575, or 580 and up to 8GB VRAM.

Despite the massive leap in computational power, Apple claims they will be able to maintain the same thin iMac design by increasing the cooling efficiency by up to 80%.

If you can afford it, you can also upgrade the boost the MacBook's performance by doubling the amount of memory to 16 GB - previously, you were maxed out at 8 GB.
