E3 2017: Original Xbox games coming to backwards compatibility

Microsoft has announced that the Project Scorpio console will now be called the Xbox One X. The console also has a release date in Fall 2017.

Microsoft announce Xbox One X will release November 7 for $499 in the US.

During the Xbox One X announcement, Microsoft confirmed that all of your existing Xbox One and Xbox One S games will work on the Xbox One X. Even more, the Xbox One accessories you have - including controllers and Kinect will work with the new Xbox.

Forza Motorsport 7 is out October 3 for Xbox One and Windows, with an Xbox One X launch to presumably follow as and when it becomes available.

At Microsoft's E3 press conference in L.A. today, Xbox executives hyped a faster - and smaller - Xbox One console.

Players have been wondering for some time when the game would be coming to console and now it looks like we have our answer. Microsoft showed the new Forza Motorport 7 running on the game machine, with features such as dynamic weather.

The console is being touted as the most powerful ever, and will support true 4K gaming.

The improved hardware will allow the system to run games at 4K resolutions while targeting better performance than was possible on older Xbox One models. Microsoft is making it easy for gamers to upgrade to the new console, by bringing all of your favorites over to the Xbox One X without the need to buy any new versions.
