Donald Trump denied telling former FBI director James Comey that he "hoped" he would "let go" of the investigation of Michael Flynn and his links to Russian Federation. "There's no ambiguity in it, there's no, 'Hey, I'm hoping, '" 39-year-0ld Mr Trump said.
"I believe the James Comey leaks will be far more prevalent than anyone ever thought possible".
"I'll tell you about that in the very near future", Trump said on Friday during a press conference in the White House Rose Garden.
He said he hoped the records would prompt the appointment of a special counsel to oversee the investigation into Russian interference in last year's USA election.

Comey admitted Thursday in testimony before the Senate intelligence committee that, after Trump fired him on May 9, he asked a friend to leak his documentation of a meeting with the president to the press in the hope of prompting the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Russian election interference.
Trump's initial tweet following Comey's testimony also appeared to refer to the former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief as a liar-something that could amount to accusing Comey of perjury given the statements he was making were made while under oath.
Feinstein also asked Comey why he didn't challenge the president defending his former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, when he believed that Trump was urging him to drop the investigation.
Yet the President's eldest son appeared to back up Mr Comey's version of their conversation. This time, he blasted "fake news" for failing to report on the country's "great economic news" since he was elected president.
