Prosecutors, on the first day of Carter's trial, painted her as an attention-grabber who had no remorse for her boyfriend's death. Carter told him to take it to Sears for repairs. "She listened to him as he died".
A friend of the woman charged with using text messages to encourage her boyfriend to kill himself said in court the woman told her "It's my fault".
On top of that, Carter even asked for some of Roy's ashes after she found out he had been cremated. "All you have to do is turn the generator on and you will be free and happy", she added.
