Dave Chappelle says he's seen enough of President Trump to admit he was wrong for going on "SNL" and pleading with the country to ease up on the Trump hate right after the election. "I'm wishing Donald Trump luck", he said. "And we the historically disenfranchised demand that he gives us one too".
According to Okayplayer, Chappelle chose to renege on a comment he made in November 2016 when he asked the American people to give the president a chance.
Chappelle's comments came hours after news broke that Trump shared classified information with the Russian foreign minister and Russian ambassador to the USA last week. NBC's Sunday Today host Willie Geist caught Chappelle's set at New York's Robin Hood gala, where the comedian admitted he'd "fucked up" by saying he'd give Trump a chance.

But presidential trips overseas can leave some problems behind and begin a reset even if relief is only temporary. Republicans from both swing and conservative districts called for more information from the White House.
Dave Chappelle's monologue on the first Saturday Night Live following the election was met with general acclaim, but it ended on a bum note for many. "I f--ed up. Sorry". After Chappelle ripped on Trump's travel ban, the audience roared in approval, and the comedian joked, "You guys are not a good gauge of how people actually feel though".
