"And I can tell you also, I don't believe that the president of China, who is a very respected man, will be happy either", Trump said in excerpts of the interview released Saturday.

CBS News national security correspondent David Martin reported the THAAD anti-missile system was now operational, but not fully. He had sent the battleships in the region of North Korea.

President Trump said he will not be "happy" if North Korea conducts another nuclear test and would not rule out taking military action against the rogue regime.

The U.S. Pacific Command said it didn't leave North Korean territory and posed no threat to North America. He didn't say when Washington and Seoul expected THAAD to be operating fully.

On Sunday, McMaster called his South Korean counterpart, Kim Kwan-jin, and "the two reconfirmed what has already been agreed" about the system's costs, Kim's office said in a statement.

Japan's navy has dispatched its largest destroyer to escort a United States military ship off the Japanese coast amid heightened tension on the Korean Peninsula.

On Tuesday, Beijing reiterated its staunch opposition to the deployment of the USA anti-missile system, which includes radar installations powerful enough to peer into Chinese airspace. The missile test was a failure according US and South Korean officials, reportedly disintegrating over North Korean airspace just minutes after launch. "That, as we would say, trumps trade".

She continued: "Do you want to come see Rough Night with me?" And incase you are wondering what Grandma Geraldine looks like now. Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson may have some luck in this department because she's soon going to meet hers.

"Frankly, this should've been done by the Obama administration".

"If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it", Trump told Bloomberg News Monday.

In a taped interview broadcast Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation, " the president would not discuss the possibility of military action, saying: "It is a chess game".

He added: "Now, if China can help us with North Korea and can solve that problem, that's worth making not as good a trade deal for the United States, excuse me, right?"

The launch comes at a point of particularly high tension in the region.

The Terminal High-Altitude Area Defence system, or THAAD, is controversial in South Korea, and presidential front-runner Moon Jae-in has vowed to reconsider the deployment if he wins the May 9 election.

The Trump administration has repeatedly said in recent weeks that all options are on the table, and has deployed a strike group and a nuclear-powered submarine to the region in a show of force.
