Actress Hilary Swank arrives at the Hollywood Film Awards in Hollywood, California November 15, 2014. Two-time Oscar victor Hilary Swank is the latest name added to the cast of FX's new limited series, Trust. Swank will play John Paul Getty III's mother, Gail Getty, in the 10 episode limited dramatic series based on the Getty kidnapping. Sutherland is J. Paul Getty, the family patriarch.
"Trust" is slated to premiere in January 2018. The series charts the young man's nightmare ordeal at the hands of kidnappers who can not understand why nobody seems to want their captive back.
Trust is executive produced, written, and directed by Oscar victor Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire). Paul's grandfather - possibly the richest man in the world - is marooned in a Tudor mansion in the English countryside surrounded by five mistresses and a pet lion.
FX has enlisted a million-dollar baby for its forthcoming limited series Trust. It is left to her to pay her son's multi-million dollar ransom, despite the fact she is broke.
Jury selection starts for former Florida congresswoman
He also said the former congresswoman lied about how much she donated to churches and used it as a tax write-off. Simmons and Wiley have already pleaded guilty and are expected to testify against Brown.
Trust just got Swank-ier.
The new role also marks Hilary's first big TV gig since the late 1990s, when she featured as a regular on shows like Beverly Hills 90210, Leaving L.A., and Camp Wilder.
Swank will next be seen in Steven Soderbergh's Logan Lucky opposite Channing Tatum and Adam Driver, and 55 Steps opposite Helena Bonham Carter and Jeffrey Tambor. Annette Bening and Penelope Cruz will also star in two other projects set to air on the cabler next year: the second and third installments, respectively, of Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story.
