The suspects are facing various drug trafficking charges.

"I'm specifically calling them predators", said Jeffersonville Police Chief Kenny Kavanaugh. "We were able, through the investigations, to document their activities and their behaviors".

The drug busts targeted suspected meth and heroin dealers.

Of the 41 people arrested on felony drug charges, 22 were arrested in the last 48 hours.

Police said Operation Ice Breaker has been an ongoing effort since the fall but they couldn't have done it without help from the community. "Each arrestee was the result of an independent narcotic investigation".

"It's important that we note that the arrestees were not part of one large organization", Jeffersonville Police Department Sgt. Isaac Parker said.

Police from Jeffersonville, New Albany and Clarksville, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, discussed "Operation Icebreaker", which began in October 2016, at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.
