The Bruins were able to steal home-ice advantage by claiming a 4-3 overtime win on Wednesday and that put the pressure on Ottawa after dropping the opening game of the series.

Phaneuf set up two goals before scoring at 1:59 of overtime and the Ottawa Senators rallied past the Boston Bruins 4-3 on Saturday.

Noel Acciari, David Backes and David Pastrnak scored for the Bruins while Tuukka Rask had 28 stops. While they've outshot the Bruins, and are almost equal in shot attempts, many of those shots have come outside the home plate area (widely considered to be the danger zone), which isn't good enough when facing a goalie of Rask's calibre.

Game 4 is Wednesday night in Boston.

The rest of the period was Boston not necessarily trying to win, but trying their best not to lose in regulation, and at the worst possible time, Zdeno Chara took a delay of game penalty in the final few seconds of regular play, and the Bruins would have to kill a penalty in Overtime.

"As we move along, in my experience, the games get tougher and tougher and the urgency grows on both parties", coach Guy Boucher said.

The B's entered the first intermission down 2-0 at TD Garden, and quickly fell behind 3-0 early in the second period.

The launch was attended by the vice-president of China's central military commission, Fan Changlong. The new conventionally powered carrier will be able to operate China's Shenyang J-15 fighter jets.

Then, just 42 seconds later, a disgusting gaffe by Ottawa's Ryan all but gift-wrapped Boston's second goal.

Mike Hoffman of the Ottawa Senators celebrates his goal with teammates in the first period against the Boston Bruins in Game Three. Jonathan Toews was unable to fire a single puck on net and finished the game with just one hit and a minus-one rating with 20:38 of time on ice. The three goals were scored on just seven shots in the period.

Defenseman John-Michael Liles had two assists for Boston, while defensemen Charlie McAvoy also had assists. Hoffman's blast from the point by Rask, his second of the game, should have put the Senators in total control of this night.

The Moore line, for all the negative and positive about their need, came to play for the first two period, playing very well for the first 40.

Canadian teams finally got in the win column after the Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers each rebounded from Game 1 losses to register their first playoff victories of 2017.

The first two games have served notice to the Senators that if they thought the Bruins were going to back down because they're now without four of their blueliners - Torey Krug, Brandon Carlo, Colin Miller and Adam McQuaid, who left Saturday - then Ottawa players can certainly erase any of those thoughts from their minds.

Whether he returns to the lineup will likely be another game-time decision.

In Game 1, the resourceful Cassidy anchored that line with Riley Nash, who had Matt Beleskey and Backes to his left and right. "They're in every game and have a chance so we've got a lot of work to do yet", said winger Clarke MacArthur, who opened the scoring in Game 2. "He's pretty much had his fingers in all of their important goals, whether it's been on the power play or during even strength".
