The Switch Is Nintendo's Fastest-Selling Console In The US Ever

Nintendo is being given a second chance at success and going by the numbers, it seems that users are quite forgiving, with the Nintendo Switch becoming the fastest selling device in the history of the company.

Even Super Mario 64-one of only two games that launched with the Nintendo 64 in the United States in 1996-didn't outsell its own console hardware in its debut (The best numbers we could find suggest 300,000 Super Mario 64 cartridges sold for 350,000 Nintendo 64 consoles in the system's opening weekend).

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game sold over 1.3 million units*.

A player of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" recently made an impossible stunt that made fans in awe of his feat, which can be seen in a video that can be viewed down below.

Turkey's election board says unstamped ballots are valid
Social media users circulated several videos, apparently showing violations on election day, including people voting a few times . The opposition parties' request to completely annul the results will be decided at the national level by the YSK.

The Switch was Nintendo's fastest selling gaming system for the USA market in its launch month, according to Nintendo.

It's also worth noting that Breath of the Wild outsold the Switch itself, even without taking Wii U copies into consideration. Interestingly enough, Nintendo sold more copies of Breath of the Wild's Switch port than it sold actual Nintendo Switch consoles!

Nintendo Switch's early sales surpassed all other consoles in the company's history, at least as far as the U.S. is concerned. For more info on the console's sales, you can check out the full press release from Nintendo below. Once they start launching, I suspect, more consumers will get interested in the Nintendo Switch. The game sold 925,000 units on the Switch and 460,000 units on Wii U, meaning that it actually sold more Switch copies than their were Switch consoles. This means the Switch's attach rate exceeds 100%, which is a massive feat to say the least. It is now contingent on Nintendo to ensure they can maintain this kind of momentum going forward, preferably with good new game releases. For instance, the company expects to launch the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game, which contains several new additions than any other Mario Kart game in the series history, on Switch by April 28.
