National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster arrived Sunday in Kabul to review USA strategy in Afghanistan.

This is the first visit by a USA official since the us military dropped the biggest non-nuclear bomb it has ever used Thursday killing 94 militants in eastern Afghanistan.

McMaster's visit follows calls by USA military commanders for adding "a few thousand" more troops to the existing strength of around 8,400 American troops in Afghanistan.President Afghan Ashraf Ghani's office welcomed McMaster's visit to Kabul and thanked him for continuous US support to Afghanistan.Ghani and McMaster discussed "bilateral ties, security, counterterrorism, reforms and development", said a brief presidential palace statement issued after the two met.The Afghan deputy chief of army staff, General Murad Ali Murad, confirmed to reporters that McMaster met with his counterpart, Hafnee Atmar, soon after landing in Kabul.

A statement from Pakistan's Foreign Affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz said that Islamabad remained committed to working for peace and reconciliation in neighboring Afghanistan, and that Pakistani officials had discussed efforts to secure the border.

Describing the meetings as "productive", the statement said, "The visit was a part of regional consultations that included stops in Kabul and Islamabad".

Pakistani leaders, meanwhile, conveyed their concerns about India and hoped that the Trump administration would play its role in easing tensions in the region.

Doval, Jaishankar and several key officials were present in the meeting that took place at the prime ministers residence.

There was even a point in the game where Pacers head coach Nate McMillan can clearly be seen telling Stephenson to calm down. Paul George had a solid effort in the loss with 32 points, eight rebounds and seven helpers.

McMaster (born July 24, 1962) is a United States Army officer and now the U.S. National Security Advisor.

McMaster met President Ashraf Ghani and other senior Afghan officials to discuss bilateral ties, security, counter-terrorism, reforms, and development, according to a palace statement.

His visit to the region comes at a time when the security situation in Afghanistan has further worsened and relations between India and Pakistan are at an all-time low in the wake of a Pakistan military court awarding death sentence by dubbing former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav as a RAW agent.

Speaking on ABC News' "This Week" program, McMaster said Russia's backing of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's government has perpetuated a civil war and created a crisis that has bled over into Iraq, neighboring countries and Europe.

Mc Master is visiting India after holding discussions with the leadership of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The proxies McMaster was referring to are militant organistaions like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Haqqani network and Taliban that Pakistan employ to carry out terror strikes in Afghanistan and "elsewhere", which experts assume was a reference to India.

He said on relations with India, Nawaz Sharif reiterated his firm conviction on sustained dialogue and meaningful engagement as the only way forward to resolve all outstanding issues between India and Pakistan including the Kashmir dispute. General H.R. McMaster on Monday renewed the commitment of the new United States administration to work closely with Pakistan in strengthening mutually beneficial relations, and towards the shared objectives of peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region.
