Three people were killed Tuesday in a shooting in downtown Fresno, the local police chief said, and a suspect was in custody.

Muhammad, who was born Cory McDonald, is alleged to have fired 16 rounds in a shooting spree lasting less than two minutes.

All three men killed in Tuesday's shootings are white. He aimed at a third, killing the 37-year-old on the pavement as he walked with a bag of groceries in a neighbourhood lined with tall trees.

All 3 of the victims were white as was the police officer shot last week while Mohammed is African American.

The brother of a California man who Fresno police say shot and killed a motel security guard and three other men he targeted for being white says he's shocked by the killings.

The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/2pPLuMr ) that Muhammad's father, Vincent Taylor, says his son believed that he was part of that ongoing racial war and that "a battle was about to take place".

"These individuals who were chosen today did not do anything to deserve what they got", Mr Dyer said.

Street Fighter V adds Thailand stage, premium
Juri's newest skin is based around a gothic schoolgirl look - as Capcom notes, she pulls off the black lipstick and nails well. The stage will be available April 25 for $3.99 Dollars , or 70,000 of Street Fighter V's in-game currency, Fight Money.

It is also believed that the suspect shot a security guard last week outside a motel in the city.

Dyer also said in his press briefing that Muhammad told officers while he was being arrested that he was the man they were looking for.

Muhammad is being charged with four counts of murder.

"On what appeared to be Muhammad's Facebook page, he repeatedly posted "#LetBlackPeopleGo" and encouraged "black warriors" to "mount up". They had no known connection to each other or to Muhammad. Muhammad is black. The victims were white. Muhammad, he added, had a long criminal history including weapons charges and drug infractions.

Muhammad was charged in 2005 with possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, court records show.

He also "suffered auditory hallucinations and had at least two prior mental health hospitalisations", according to court documents.

Two of those shot at were near Catholic Charities and were clients of the social services agency, Dyer said.
