Modi, who left Odisha for his home state of Gujarat on Sunday after wrapping up the two-day national executive meet, spoke about a wide range of issues, including triple talaq and demonetisation.
In October previous year, when he addressed a rally in Uttar Pradesh, Modi said he opposed the triple talaq practice among Muslims and in the same breath he condemned the prevalence of female foeticide in Hindu society.
Hailing the overwhelming public support that the party has received in most of the elections post-demonetisation, party leaders said it reflects the public support and clearly means the public fully supports PM Modi's drive against corruption.
During a discussion on the national commission for backward classes, Prime Minister Modi at the BJP National Executive meeting in Bhubaneswar, Odisha suggested that the party should hold conferences for "backward" Muslims. By holding the national executive meeting in Biju Janata Dal stronghold, the BJP has sent a strong political signal.
Modi said: "The PM said all should now progress by following the path of New India". We should try to solve this issue at the district level.
"For the first time, the Modi government took a decision to grant a constitutional status and got the bill passed in the Lok Sabha", Human Resource and Development Minister Prakash Javadekar told the media.
Kendrick Lamar is darn good on new album
Where 2015's To Pimp A Butterfly was a sprawling jazz/rap love affair, the production on DAMN . is a flex in transcending genres. I'm not saying this is a for sure thing that's happening but how rad would it be to get 2 Kendrick albums in less than a week.
Amit Shah said he would like his party to win in leftist states like West Bengal, Kerala, and Tripura, too, besides stand-alone states like Odisha.
'The Prime Minister, in the last three years of his tenure with his hard work, has translated his words into action and confidence amongst the people, ' said the political resolution passed in Bhubaneswar.
"The BJP calls upon the people of our country to take a pledge to form a government under the leadership of Narendra Modi in 2019 in order to have the continuity of development and welfare policies for all", it said.
Modi also expressed his desire to rid India of social and economic inequities.
Though Governor SC Jamir had not gone to the airport to receive the Prime Minister, he was present there to give a warm send-off to Modi.
He also sought to allay apprehensions among Muslims about the BJP on the issue. Another resolution also condemned the manner in which Congress and other parties are playing politics in this connection and stalling the bill.
