KUSA-The NFL informed the Denver Broncos this morning cornerback Aqib Talib will not be disciplined for his apparent accidental gun-shooting incident in June 2016.

Talib must complete a firearms safety course and also submit a list of all firearms he owns to National Football League security, according to National Football League vice president of communications Brian McCarthy. Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post confirmed the news. After months of review, the Dallas Police Department determined that Talib had shot himself.

The league, however, has concluded that Talib's behavior, which left two stitches in his leg last June, constituted as conduct detrimental to the NFL.

When the shooting occurred, Talib told police he didn't know who shot him.

The gunshot entered the back of Talib's right thigh and exited his right calf. He did not need surgery.

Talib is in the fourth year of a six-year contract that will pay him $11 million in 2017.

According to the report, Talib must complete a firearm safety course and submit a list of his weapons now that the league has closed its investigation into the incident.
