Antetokounmpo leads Bucks over Raptors

Ibaka is fortunate the Raptors had two days between games. The Bucks were able to get out and run time and again off Raptors missed shots.

Australian rookie Thon Maker was an intimidating force and Matthew Dellavedova hit key shots in Milwaukee's upset win over the Toronto Raptors in game one of their first-round National Basketball Association playoff series. The Toronto Raptors had the lead over the Bucks into halftime, 51-46, but they could not maintain it, according to National Post. "Just coming in there just chasing - chase people down and try to get as much from we can from every game". "Our guy shoots it and Giannis closes out, you know he's going to take off, so if you are on the weak side you can't offensive rebound, you have to get back". But it's something now that we're not unfamiliar with, being at this point. It wasn't only Lowry - DeMar DeRozan shot 7-of-21 and the bench only managed 19 points.

Coach Kidd fired back against the big lineup with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thon Maker. "They game-planned really well for us".

Playing in his 200th playoff game, James added 13 assists and six rebounds while winning his 18th consecutive first-round game. "If you wait for him, he's going to come full speed, he will attack you and it's a foul or a basket".

NEED TO KNOW: Antetokounmpo's strong regular-season performance against Toronto carried over into Game 1, when he had 28 points and eight rebounds.

SPURS 111, GRIZZLIES 82: Kawhi Leonard matched his postseason high with 32 points and San Antonio rolled to a victory over Memphis in Game 1 of the first-round playoff series.

"There were a few times, it wasn't like it was a whole bunch, but there were a few times he could have turned the corner and got to the paint, caused another problem, kickout", Casey said. "We've been there before". "It's not a good feeling, but they are things that are correctable as far as our offence is concerned".

The 31-year-old continued: "In my life I think, oh look at these handsome , wonderful things I have, I should be so happy".

Home-court for the Clippers-Jazz series was the last remaining unknown part of the playoff schedule - and it went to the Clippers, who pulled away in the second half to beat Sacramento and lock up No. 4. The Cavs were just 14 of 27, the kind of performance that often comes back to bite a team - and almost did. And, without that, the bad run of the first games of first-round series continued as the Raps dropped another opener, this time to the No. 6-seeded Bucks by a 97-83 score.

The Bucks are young, hungry, have the best player in the series and a good coach in Jason Kidd.

Giannis is doing insane things this year, for a young Bucks team that starts two rookies. "You keep playing that way, it's always going to bite you in the behind and that's what happened to us tonight". Somehow, some way, Lowry, the Raptors most important player, has to get back to setting the tone for his team with his scoring and his playmaking.

Ibaka's jump shot at 7:49 was Toronto's first made field goal of the fourth. DeMar DeRozan is now fourth on that list, after following up his 6-for-11 first half by going 1-of-10 in the second.

The encouraging thing from the Bucks' standpoint is that they went 14-4 in March and were 21-15 overall after their most recent loss to Toronto on January 27.

The Bucks practised in Milwaukee on Monday and Dellavedova was asked about Toronto's issue with his screens. These two met four times this season, with Toronto going 3-1 straight up and against the spread in the four meetings. They go about nine-man deep in rotation, with P.J. Tucker not adding a lot of points, but helping make the Raptors a lot tougher defensively.
