Sunday saw Celtic claim a 5-0 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle and, in the process, secure their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.
A Scott Sinclair hat-trick plus a goal apiece for Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts meant the party could start in Edinburgh.
Brendan Rodgers' side needed three points against fifth-placed Hearts to be confirmed as champions after Aberdeen hammered Dundee on Friday. And, with the Betfred Cup already in the trophy room and a William Hill semi-final against Rangers to look forward to, they are on course for the treble.
In the longer term, however, they will have their eyes fixed on winning 10 league crowns in a row, thereby surpassing the record, which is held jointly by themselves and Rangers. "I am still learning now, I am 31, 32 in the summer and I feel as fit as I have ever been".
"But he said: 'I just wanted to say thank you for coming up to Scottish football. Until that moment comes, which hopefully won't be for a while, I'm very content".
"We took a Swansea team who won the Championship into the Premier League and we finished 11th but for us and what we were trying to do that was very, very good".
I think he's got more chance or justification to get a big job now than he did when he went to Liverpool.
Easter Sunday: Christians across the globe celebrate
Good Friday is marked as a day of mourning while Easter Sunday celebrates the belief that Jesus rose from his grave. Though the tradition is of decorating chicken eggs, but today they are replaced with chocolate and jellybeans.
The word of the day turned out to be comfortable: Sinclair looks it, Rodgers is it, as he said, and so too are Celtic.
Their average attendance is greater than, at last count, all but English Premier League clubs - Manchester United and Arsenal - and the move itself would garner so much interest, the eyes on the television sets alone would be a massive financial boost for all concerned.
"There is now a contradiction within Celtic's position: to defend Scottish football so their results are commended, while retaining clear ambition of an alternative, tougher and more lucrative scene".
Celtic fans were delighted with his latest display, and took to Twitter to deliver their verdicts.
"I've got a group of young players who are still developing and some senior players who are still developing and they bring that hunger into the games".
"I said to the players before the game, throughout the season how they've represented the club - Celtic is a club where professionalism is the hallmark - they've done so with dignity, pride and style. We were disappointing last season but this season we've really pushed on".
