Protests urge S.Africa president to quit

In an unprecedented show of unity, all but two opposition parties will march on the Union Buildings on Wednesday calling for President Jacob Zuma to be recalled.

Unfortunately for the president, more protests are planned for Wednesday - his 75th birthday.

Zuma's decision to fire Pravin Gordhan as finance minister and make 19 other changes to his administration on March 31 drew widespread criticism, prompted S&P Global Ratings to downgrade the nation's worldwide credit rating to junk and weakened the rand.

The Constitutional Court past year found Zuma guilty of violating the constitution after he refused to repay taxpayers' money used to refurbish his private rural house. Analysts say the political crisis is making it hard to reform the economy, improve social services and fight crime.

Gordhan's sacking triggered unprecedented criticism from senior figures in the ruling African National Congress (ANC), including from Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa. He has denied repeated allegations of corruption since winning power in 2009.

"He is misusing state money", said 21-year-old student and Pretoria resident Thomas Monyoko wearing a red EFF T-shirt.

President Jacob Zuma of South Africa clocks 75.

"We are here to defend the future of our children whether you are black (or) white".

Zuma had accused Friday's marchers of having racist motives. I think the message has went home. "I mean now, today on his birthday", she said. He and other opposition leaders, many with vastly different ideologies, are hoping the demonstration forces hesitant ANC members of parliament to support a no-confidence vote.

Opposition parties have vowed to keep the pressure on.

Wesley Bryan takes RBC Heritage in South Carolina homecoming
In his first six RBC Heritage appearances, DeLaet's best finish was 14th past year . "I proved that the last couple of holes". Since returning from a foot injury in October Poulter has made eight starts on the United States tour, making five cuts.

He earlier posted a court document on his Twitter feed showing the chief justice of the constitutional court had given the go-ahead for parties in the secret ballot case to give their written submissions by April 21 - days after the no-confidence vote is scheduled to take place.

The DA will continue to use all means available - petitions, parliamentary mechanisms, litigation and will march along with all South Africans en masse across our country until Zuma is gone.

"I'm not anxious when people call me names. It seems that only Zuma is right", he said. "If they don't deliver, they aren't doing their jobs", The Times quoted Zuma as saying.

"We want to say we love him, happy birthday Baba, may God bless him to be healthy and remain strong because he is a strong man", Mamabolo said.

"He's the main leader and he doesn't lead by example", she said.

"We have observed in the recent period that the president has, out of desperation, been demonstrating an inclination to invoke the race card in a divisive manner", Save SA said in a statement.

Ironically, President Zuma's foe, Pravin Gordhan, the former Finance Minister fired a fortnight ago, shares a birthday with the president.

"With the Rand plummeting, South Africa becomes even more attractive to tourists", Newton said, encouraging more people to consider visiting the country.

But he added "The probability of Zuma's exit is low at just 20 percent".
