In fact, CM had earlier announced that the party would observe "Gulabi Coolie Dinalu (Pink Labourers' Days) from April 14 to April 20 in accordance with party tradition of making the party leaders and workers work in their respective villages for at least two days to earn money needed for their expenses to attend the party foundation day celebrations".

Rama Rao turned "coolie" at an ice cream parlour in Qutubullahpur area to raise money for TRS' plenary and formation day public meeting scheduled to be held later this month. It is in Las Vegas situated at Suchitra in Qutballapur on Hyderabad-Nagpur national highway.
The major share of KTR's earning came from educationist and TRS MP Malla Reddy, who purchased one ice cream cone from the ice cream seller holding MBA degree from US, for Rs 5 lakh.
Quthballapur TRS MLA Vivekanand organised the event at the ice cream parlour owned by one M. Sudhir Reddy. Malla Reddy bought ice cream worth Rs.5 lakh and TRS leader K. Srinivas Reddy made purchase of Rs.1.30 lakh Friday afternoon. He earned Rs 7.30 lakh just in couple of hours yesterday.
Later, KTR and other party leaders visited the venue of the plenary at Kompally. A massive public meeting is planned at Warangal on April 27 to mark the formation day of the party.
