IPL's official website mistakenly termed Royal Challengers Bangalore player Virat Kohli a left-handed batsman when it's common knowledge that the Indian Test skipper is a right-handed one. In what was a turning-the-tables around moment for RCB, Mumbai Indians were made to taste their own medicine as Badree unleashed a barrage of dots, as many as 17 of them - including the wicket deliveries. Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma, facing the hat-trick ball, did not pick theBadree's googly and was bowled for golden duck.

Badree struck for a fourth time to leave Mumbai 33-5, but the clean-hitting Pollard bludgeoned five sixes in an extraordinary knock and Krunal Pandya also made a key contribution for an Indians side that has won three in a row.

Mumbai, with the batting they possess, were expected to chase the 143-run target comfortably on a batting friendly pitch at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Though Mumbai played without their experienced pacer Lasith Malinga, their other bowlers bowled to their potential as RCB wasted a solid start given by skipper Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and de Villiers.

It was always going to be hard for RCB to defend the total but Badree, who missed the entirety of last season with injury and in the team ahead of Shane Watson, came back from the wilderness to give them the best possible chance.

The New Zealander said the team and the bowling coach Shane Bond has had plans for the bowlers, who executed them exceptionally well, especially in death overs, where they dried up RCB's run flow.

A 93-run stand between Kieron Pollard (70, 47b, 3x4, 5x6) and Krunal Pandya (37, 30b, 3x4, 1x6) for the fifth wicket changed the course of the match, ensuring a comfortable seven-ball victory.

Kohli, out of action for nearly a month with a shoulder injury he suffered during the third Test against Australia, opened the innings and he got into the groove in no time.

The 28-year-old came out to bat with West Indian swashbucking batsman Chris Gayle (22) and forged a 63-run partnership in 10 overs to give the RCB a ideal start. Parthiv Patel slogged a delivery straight to Chris Gayle at short-cover. When Krunal Pandya came in, he had the same mentality and we gelled well.

The second hattrick happened after Australia's Andrew James Tye from ran through the Rising Pune Supergiant to claim five wickets in the match.

In the middle-order, Kedar Jadhav was run out for nine runs, while Mandeep Singh went back to pavilion for a duck.

Pawan Negi, who has not proved his worth till yet in the cash-rich league, once again did not rise up to the occasion as he scored 13 runs in 13 balls. His partner Stuart Binny scored six runs as Bangalore failed get a boundary in the last 5.2 overs.
