A celebratory atmosphere hung over President Jacob Zuma's home on the occasion of his 75th birthday Wednesday. There's widespread frustration over a string of political scandals and a lackluster economy.
In an unprecedented show of unity, all but two opposition parties will march on the Union Buildings on Wednesday calling for President Jacob Zuma to be recalled.
Zuma, a Zulu traditionalist, came to power thanks to a populist touch that energized a largely rural base of supporters. Mr Zuma's obituary has been written many times before only for him to rise from the ashes.
The opposition parties are the Democratic Alliance (DA), Congress of the People (COPE), Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), African People's Convention (APC) and United Democratic Movement (UDM).
"South Africa's cabinet reshuffle probably won't have a significant effect on fiscal policy in 2017/2018".
He said those that called him names suffered from a white people's disease: stress. During the 2016 municipal elections 8,1 million ANC voters voted with more than 3 million abstaining, while 6,8 million minority party voters did vote. "What I see here is awesome", Mitchell said.

I have seen people come and go, I have seen heroes come and go, I have also seen heroes become cowards.
"The opposition are doing their job, which is to oppose" he stated.
The feud has weakened Zuma's grip on the ANC and may help Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa in the succession race. President Zuma has received support from senior ANC leaders as well as Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini at the celebration, despite growing calls for him to step down.
