US plans first test of ICBM intercept, with NKorea on mind
He said it would take time to come up with a new sustainable and effective way to curb North Korea's nuclear weapons programme, especially when the most recent United Nations resolution, the strictest so far, had apparently failed. The test is scheduled for next Tuesday. If successful, the "kill vehicle" or intercept will collide with the ICBM test target mid-course over the Pacific Ocean .
