After months of teasing her impending nuptials to Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj appears to have finally tied the knot.
Minaj announced the news on Monday with a video on Instagram that showed matching "Mr. and Mrs." mugs and baseball caps that had "Bride" and "Groom" written on them.
"Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19", read the caption, indicating the rapper's new name and the apparent date she said "I do".
There has been no other confirmation.
XXL has reached out to Nicki's camp for comment.
Lampard ‘confident’ his youngsters can pass Ajax test
Everybody is raving about Chelsea's youngsters too - at the weekend I thought they would struggle against Newcastle . Told jokingly by Dutch media that he looked scared, Lampard replied "that's just my face".
In August, Nicki announced she and Petty had gotten a marriage license and that the two were steadily moving toward marriage and a lifetime of happiness during an episode of Queen Radio. "So yes, we're going to have a big wedding eventually".
As for whether she's truly finished with rap, Nicki steered clear of confirming whether or not she's actually backing away from music as the Barbz feared.
The singer's trip to the altar has been in speculation for some time now but was recently spotted at a marriage registry with Kenneth Petty, where she went to change her name. California marriage licenses only last for 90 days, so it was safe to assume that Nicki Minaj was getting married sooner than later. In another portion of the interview, Nicki said who she'd like to collaborate with on an upcoming record "if" she was to release another album. "Love you for LIFE", she wrote. "Now that I'm there I don't want to compromise that for anyone or anything".
But she wasn't expecting to wear a traditional wedding gown for the occasion.
Responding to commenters on Instagram, Minaj said, "He was 15, she was 16 ... in a relationship".
