At the Golden Globes nomination ceremony on Monday, Kidman was snubbed for a supporting actor nod for Bombshell, but was nominated for Big Little Lies. Critical reception has been mixed for "Bombshell", a starry dramatization about the culture of sexual harassment at Fox News.

Along with Theron and Johansson, the nominees for best performance by a female actor in a leading role were: Cynthia Erivo ("Harriet"), Lupita Nyong'o ("Us") and Renee Zellweger ("Judy").

A number of prominent contenders were shut out, including Sam Mendes' World War I thriller "1917", Greta Gerwig's Louisa May Alcott adaptation "Little Women", Lulu Wang's family drama "The Farewell", Fernando Meirelles' Vatican drama "The Two Popes" and Rian Johnson's star-studded whodunit "Knives Out". The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel received the most nominations, with four, while The Morning Show showed itself to be an awards player, picking up noms for Jennifer Aniston, Billy Crudup, and Steve Carrell.

In the television categories, nominations were spread out to a wide swath of productions, with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Chernobyl, The Crown, The Handmaid's Tale, Fleabag, The Kominsky Method, Stranger Things and Game of Thrones among those nabbing multiple nominations.

On the TV side of things, genre dominated the stunt category with Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, and Watchmen earning nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble.

The 26th annual SAG Awards will air live January 19 (TNT and TBS, 8 p.m. ET/5 PT).
