Cathay Pacific Airways, which has become the biggest corporate casualty of the protests after China demanded it suspend staff involved in the demonstrations, protested against a planned rally by the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions around the airport's "Cathay City" HQ on Monday.
The plans developed online after a march Sunday drew hundreds of thousands who demonstrated in the rain, a sign that protesters had not been dissuaded by a police ban or warnings from the Chinese government. Protesters said they are anxious the lampposts, which measure traffic conditions and weather, infringe upon privacy and could be equipped with facial recognition software.
Some used an electric saw, attempting to slice through the bottom of the lamppost, while others tied a rope around it to successfully bring it crashing to the ground, the Associated Press reported.
This Friday, inspired by the Baltics, Hongkongers protesting for democracy formed their own Hong Kong Way across their city.
"We have shown today that we are very peaceful, so let's see what they can do to us", Au said after joining protesters in the Sham Shui Po neighborhood.
From Kowloon Bay, a large group of hardcore protesters moved to Wong Tai Sin, where they aimed laser beams at police and hurled bricks at police cordon lines.
Others were spotted using slingshots to fire projectiles at police, prompting law enforcement to respond with force.
YouTube has disabled 210 channels, writing in a blog post they had "behaved in a coordinated manner while uploading videos related to the ongoing protests in Hong Kong". Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam has since suspended the bill, but the movement has continued and protesters' demands have expanded to include a call for universal suffrage and an independent investigation into police brutality.

The demonstrators have also asked Lam to resign and allow a democratic election to elect her successor. They also said Cheng had confessed to accusations against him, a commonly used comment by Chinese police, even though Cheng was not given a chance to defend himself in court.
The city had appeared to have pulled back from a nosedive into violence, with the last serious clashes taking place a week and a half ago just after the city's airport was paralysed by demonstrators.
Participants chanted slogans like "Free Hong Kong!" and "Recover Hong Kong, revolution of the times!"
Demonstrators, including families with young children and older citizens, linked hands across different districts as others held up banners thanking overseas nations for supporting "freedom and democracy" in Hong Kong.

Just a day before, thousands of Hong Kongers held hands and formed human chains, in a peaceful bid to gain support from the worldwide community, NPR's Anthony Kuhn reported.
A Google spokesperson would not comment when asked by the BBC whether Google agreed with Twitter's assessment that it was a state-backed misinformation campaign, created to undermine the protest movement in Hong Kong. The certificate enabled the government to decrypt and read anything a user types or posts, including intercepting their account information and passwords.
"So when we talk about the protesters on the street - the counter-protesters on the street - we shouldn't simply think of them as agents of the state", Shin said.
One protester, Keith Fong, 20, described to ABC News how he was arrested and allegedly physically assaulted by police for buying laser pointers.
