Nokia 4.2 with Google Assistant button launched in India: Price, specifications

The Nokia 4.2 has debuted in India. The Nokia e-store will be exclusively selling the phone for a week after which potential buyers can choose to buy the phone from select retail outlets including Croma, Reliance Digital, Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, and MyG. Consumers can use promo code "LAUNCHOFFER" to avail this limited period offer when purchasing Nokia 4.2 on www.nokia.com/phones. It will be made available in two colour options - Black and Pink Sand. Talking about the pricing, the Nokia 4.2 costs Rs 10,990 in India. Vodafone-Idea customers will receive Rs 2,500 instant cashback (in form of 50 vouchers of Rs 50 each). The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset paired with up to 3GB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage.

To recall, The device was originally showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019 tech show held in Barcelona.

The new Nokia smartphone comes with two interesting additions that have not been traditionally present in the company's phones - a dedicated Google Assistant button and a notification light in the power button. Yes, I am talking about the brand new Nokia 4.2, which features some decent specs and has been priced at Rs. 10,990.

On the front, we will be looking at a 5.71-inch FullView display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Even though the device comes with a waterdrop notch display, the bezels are relatively thicker than other similar looking smartphones.

The smartphone runs Android Pie 9 and is a part of the Android One program. The internal memory can also be expanded up to 400GB using a microSD card slot.

As far as cameras go, the phone features a 13 MP primary rear camera and a secondary 2 MP depth sensor. The smartphone has 13MP and 2MP cameras at the back, and an 8MP snapper on the front.

The rest of the features include a 3,000mAh battery that Nokia claims is good enough to offer up to 18 hours of talk time and up to 100 hours of MP3 playback.
