According to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said Natalie Portman's absence in "Thor: Ragnarok" was due to a breakup between Thor and Jane Foster. "Please tell me they bring Dr. Jane Foster back", one Twitter user wrote.

"It's always a nerve-wracking experience, but, I don't know, this was- we literally left it all on the field with this one, and it was a combination of about 22 films, 10 years of work, and so I think we all have a sense of pride", he added.

Natalie Portman surprised Avengers fans this week when she was spotted at the premiere for Avengers: Endgame.

Aside from breathing new life into the character, Thor: Ragnarok was the highest grossing Thor solo film, so Marvel Studios would be insane not to hear what Waititi has in mind for a follow-up.

So, while Portman said she was "done", her comments certainly suggested that she was leaving the door open for a potential return in the future.

Will Natalie Portman's Jane Foster be in Avengers: Endgame? I don't know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened.
