Linda McMahon, a co-founder and former chief executive officer of WWE, has been chosen to serve as President-elect Donald Trump's choice for administrator of the Small Business Administration, officials announced Wednesday.

Her husband, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, meanwhile, has appeared with Trump in Wrestlemania events.

She was a top Trump donor before joining his administration.

At the time of her confirmation, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said McMahon will "prioritize growing jobs over growing government bureaucracy".

A person familiar with her thinking who was not authorized to speak publicly said she was expected to join the Trump-supporting super PAC America First Action.

All three positions have so far been filled with acting replacements, not permanent ones.

'She did a terrific job for President Trump and small businesses all over the country, ' she said.

"I am disappointed to hear that Linda McMahon will be leaving the Small Business Administration", Graham tweeted.

"She has much to be proud of and will be missed", Graham added. She stepped down from her position at the company so that she could run for Senate.

"Under her stewardship, optimism among America's small business has soared as a result of this administration's pro-growth, pro-worker policies", said Sen. She twice ran unsuccessfully for the Senate from her home state of CT.

McMahon, who is a prolific Republican fundraiser, is a graduate of East Carolina University.

This is a developing story.
