Cleveland Browns trade WR Corey Coleman to Buffalo Bills

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Clevland Browns will be shipping Corey Coleman over to the Buffalo Bills for a draft pick.

Because of injuries, Coleman was limited to just 19 games over his first two National Football League seasons, and there were off-the-field concerns, including one that resulted in a lengthy police investigation and another in an early trip home from a road trip to play the Houston Texans last fall.

To this point in his career, the 15th overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft has failed to live up to his draft hype.

As for the Browns, they now have traded or released every first-round pick they drafted between 2009 and 2016. "I'm sure he wished he had played all 16 games both seasons", Beane said. I'm sure there's things that went well there.

He was named in a police report regarding an alleged felonious assault past year.

Coleman caught 56 passes for 718 yards and five touchdowns with the Browns, who are still in the market for a wide receiver.

The Bills now have Coleman, Kelvin Benjamin, Andre Holmes, and Zay Jones as their starting wide receivers, but they will need to find a balance between their front-runners. They also picked up some cold, hard cash.

Now Coleman will need to take that step with the Bills, where he will need to get acclimated to Buffalo's offense in short order.

Returning starter Zay Jones is coming off right knee and shoulder surgery and was cleared for practice for the first time Sunday. "He's just coming in here to compete and earn". He was selected by the Browns after they sent their number 2 overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles.
