Saudi Arabia denied on Wednesday allowing Qatar carriers from using its airports and airspace, China's Xinhua news agency reported Al Arabia local news as saying. The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain, known as the "Arab quartet" cut diplomatic ties with Qatar on June 5, accusing them of supporting and financing terrorism.
The airspace closures have forced Qatar Airways to fly longer, spend more on fuel, prompting Doha to call for the intervention of ICAO, a United Nations body.

Qatar also announced on Wednesday that it will allow visa-free entry for citizens of 80 countries to encourage air transport and tourism amid the crisis.
"The visa exemption scheme will make Qatar the most open country in the region", Hassan al-Ibrahim, chief tourism development officer at Qatar Tourism Authority said at a press conference in Doha.
