Following the voting of Vasava Nitish Kumar expelled JD-U's state chief Arun Srivastava, who is known to be close to Sharad Yadav, as is Mr. Vasava from the party.

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today attacked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for walking out of the Grand Alliance government and said the JD (U) leader has committed "political suicide" by joining hands with the BJP.
According to him, the BJP's vision document for Bihar promises scooties for 5,000 meritorious girls, laptops for 50,000 meritorious students, colour TV for every Dalit/ Mahadalit family and dhoti-saree for every poor family in the state.
Choubey said Lalu may do whatever he wants but it won't harm BJP.

Another JD (U) spokesman, Neeraj Kumar, also described Yadav's tour as a "personal" programme. Using words like "treacherous Man Singh" and "Ranchhor" (one who quits battle field), Prasad said, "No party in the country would any longer trust Nitish Kumar...he is politically finished now".
He also said that the people who are associated with BJP have been roaming free despite being involved in a number of scams. Sushil Modi had also alleged the sand mafia was "funding" RJD's proposed rally on August 27.
However, the Grand Alliance government did not last for long as the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar chose to leave his alliance partners recently after the family members of Lalu Prasad Yadav, the chief of the RJD and father of Tejashwi and Tej Pratap, were accused of being involved in several corruption cases.
This will probably be the first time that Lalu will not be with them to guide and support them during their interaction with the people.
