A Texas police officer is recovering after he was struck by a auto and violently flung into the air during a traffic stop last month.
His dash cam shows him walking to a auto he pulled over for a traffic offense.
The officer managed to get up after the incident and call for backup.
He suffered fractures to his vertebra, a wound to his forehead and an injury to his foot in the crash which was filmed on his police auto dashcam. "It felt like I was spinning through a washing machine", Lesell said. "I'm lucky with how it turned out". The suspect's auto hit the stationary vehicle first, diminishing the hit to Lesell, officer Jimmy Pollozani told the Star-Telegram.
