The plea to "re-build" a Ram temple at the Ramjanmabhoomi site will be heard by the Supreme Court along with appeals challenging a 2010 Allahabad High Court decision fixing the exact birth place of Lord Ram at the disputed Ayodhya site.
"We are going to list the main matter soon".
A Bench of Chief Justice J.S. Khehar and Justice D.Y. Chandra-chud told Subramanian Swamy that the matter will be listed for hearing when the BJP leader pleaded for urgent listing of the appeals and his intervention petition which has been tagged with the appeals.
Swamy also said that he has been allowed by the apex court to intervene in the matter and is seeking expeditious disposal of the cases.

The apex court had on March 21, 2017 advised all the parties involved in the Ayodhya dispute to end the stalemate through negotiation.
Chief Justice Khekar also offered to sit down as principal negotiator with the mediators chosen by warring parties to settle the dispute surrounding the Babri Masjid-Ramjanambhoomi land dispute. The dispute has been pending in the Supreme Court since 2010.
Dividing the 67.703-acre disputed land into three parts among the Hindus, the Muslims and the Nirmohi Akhara, an organised group of sadhus, the Allahabad High Court's judgment was overruled by the Supreme Court in 2011. After the court refused, Swamy said that he was not happy with it.
In March, days after suggesting Swamy find an amicable resolution to the land dispute through negotiated settlement, saying it was as a matter of "sentiments and religion", the bench had declined to fix a date for the hearing.
