Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has been summoned to appear before a Spanish judge in July for tax fraud in Spain, and soccer coach Jose Mourinho may be next.
Ronaldo is now on worldwide duty with Portugal at the Confederations Cup and was named man of the match after heading home his side's winning goal against the hosts Russian Federation.
In three years with Real Madrid, Mourinho won La Liga in 2012 and the Spanish Cup in 2011.
In a statement, the state prosecutor said Mourinho committed two counts of tax fraud in 2011 and 2012.
Ronaldo, through his personal branding agent Jorge Mendes - who also represents Mourinho in offering to public and private organizations the for-profit right to use his image in advertisements - has denied any wrongdoing.
On Tuesday, Ronaldo was told to appear before a judge for questioning on July 31.
