Trump called the Pyongyang regime a "total disgrace" for imprisoning and abusing Warmbier.

American concern is growing over North Korea's acceleration toward having a nuclear missile that can strike the US mainland.

Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi co-chaired the dialogue with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Defense James Mattis in Washington D.C. on Wednesday.

While the U.S. officials stressed agreement on the goal of North Korean denuclearisation, the talks also dealt with China's sweeping territorial claims in the South China Sea, with the Americans reaffirming opposition to Beijing's militarization of islands it is building in the strategic waterway.

Many people know the relation between China and North Korea and on the other side the relation between North Korea and the United States is also known to all as not sweet; thus the topic of recent incidents will be one of the big debates in the meeting.

The finance ministers' phone talks took place just a week before the summit meeting between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S. President Donald Trump.

The talks are meant to build on progress made when President Donald Trump met China's president in Florida in April.

At the same time, Trump had previously suggested he was holding off on getting tough on China's trade policies in return for Xi's help with reining in North Korea, often engaging in public flattery of the leader.

Show co-host Brian Kilmeade commented that he believed Trump tweaked the Chinese government with the tweet, but not embarrass it publicly. "We can not know for sure that North Korea killed Mr. Warmbier, but I believe it is quite clear that they have a heavy responsibility for the process that led to Mr. Warmbier's death", he said.

Later on Wednesday, Trump said in a speech in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, that the United States has a "great relationship with China and I really like President Xi".

"I don't have any doubt in my mind, if we go to war with North Korea, that we will win the war", he said, but warned that "we will see casualties unlike anything we've seen in 60 or 70 years". But it was unclear if Pyongyang was preparing for a sixth nuclear test.
