Two items were seized by the police in a raid that was conducted at the Yuva Morcha leader's hime in Kerala's Kodungallur.
Fake currency notes to the tune of almost Rs 1.35 lakh was seized by the police from the house of a BJP local leader at Sree Narayanapuram near Kodungallur in the district.

As quoted by PTI, the police said, "Rakesh, a local Yuva Morcha leader was arrested in connection with the incident". The notes were of denominations of Rs 2,000 (65 notes), Rs 500 (eight), Rs 50 (five) and Rs 20 (10), Chalakkudy DSP Shahul Hameed said. The printout of the notes was taken on A-4 paper and cut after creating them in the computer.
Rajesh used to change the notes at petrol pumps and banks. "The role of Rajesh and his brother has been confirmed in fake currency racket", Thrissur District Police Chief N Vijayakumar said. There are indications that Rajesh's brother also is involved in this activity. The raids were initiated as part of the Operation Kubera launched by the police against illegal money lenders.
